Why your website speed affects Google rankings

Most Perth businesses are losing customers to slow websites without knowing it. Google's Core Web Vitals (a set of speed and experience metrics) are a confirmed ranking factor. If your site loads slowly, you're being penalised in search results before a single visitor even arrives.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are three metrics Google uses to measure real-world page experience: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), which measures load speed; Interaction to Next Paint (INP), which measures responsiveness; and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), which measures visual stability.

A site that scores poorly on these metrics will rank lower than a competitor with equivalent content but faster performance, even if your content is better.

What we do about it

At Render Marketing, we build on a static architecture: pre-rendered HTML served from a global CDN. There are no servers computing pages on demand, no database queries slowing things down. Pages load in milliseconds, not seconds. This gives every site we build a structural speed advantage before we've optimised a single image.

Combined with next-gen image formats, lazy loading, and minimal JavaScript, our sites consistently score 95+ on Google's PageSpeed Insights.
